Innovate Consulting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's growing finance and operations team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to launch their accounting career in a fast-paced, high-growth environment within the energy services industry. The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders for approval and payment.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery tickets; verify accuracy and coding.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
  • Support accounts receivable by generating invoices and tracking customer payments.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure timely data entry.
  • Support the accounting team with audits, reporting, and other special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; internship experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and standard accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with D365 preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
