Job Title: Engineer II

Job Summary

The Engineer II is a mid-level engineering role responsible for applying standard engineering principles to design, develop, and support projects or systems. This position works independently on routine tasks and collaborates with senior engineers on more complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and improve systems, components, or processes based on project requirements
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports
  • Support project execution from concept through completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, project management, and clients
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Review and validate engineering work, including calculations and documentation
  • Assist in cost estimates, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Mentor junior engineers or technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or related field)
  • 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and industry practices
  • Experience working with medium to high voltage.
  • Experience can generally be any work dealing with power distribution. Whether that's at an engineering firm, a plant, or an electrical manufacturer. 
  • Proficiency in relevant software/tools (e.g., CAD, simulation tools, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industry-specific applications (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, energy, construction)
  • Familiarity with project management principles
  • Experience with automation, controls, or data analysis tools (role-dependent)
