Innovate Consulting is seeking an Aquatics Design Engineer for an Engineering firm located in Dallas, TX! We are looking for a highly skilled Aquatics Designer/Engineer with a strong background in aquatics design. The candidate will need be experienced in the design of commercial swimming pools, including the integration of equipment selection, electrical, and plumbing systems. The perfect candidate will also have experience with structural engineering relating to pool design, but this is not a requirement. This role requires a flexibility coordinated with structural engineering disciplines (if not already educated) and a working knowledge of commercial swimming pool design and ISPSC code compliance. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and design of commercial swimming pools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into pool designs.
  • Size and select appropriate equipment for pool systems, considering efficiency and budget.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Communicate with reps and vendors of equipment to aid in the selection of proper equipment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Acceptable education alternatives are training as a drafting technician with 5+ years’ experience working with commercial pool design
  • Preferred Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in any state with ability to expand to other states.
  • Proven experience in the design and construction of commercial swimming pools.
  • Knowledge of pool mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (Revit (preferred)/AutoCAD)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a team environment.
  • Location: Fully remote work is acceptable, with a preference for Dallas, TX based location or willingness to relocate. If fully remote, candidate would be expected to travel to Dallas for initial onboarding and for periodic meetings and team building.
