PDC Electrical Engineer (E-House Integration)

Position Summary
Innovate Consulting is seeking a PDC (Power Distribution Center) Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading provider of electrical power distribution, automation, and engineered solutions serving the energy, industrial, and infrastructure markets.
This role will support the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems within E-House and modular power distribution solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working for OEMs or system integrators such as Eaton, ABB, Powell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, or similar organizations involved in medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution equipment.
The successful candidate will support the complete project lifecycle, including electrical design review, equipment integration, factory testing, commissioning support, and customer technical coordination for complex industrial and energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the electrical integration of Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), E-Houses, switchgear lineups, motor control centers (MCCs), transformers, UPS systems, and related power distribution equipment.
- Review electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts for compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and field service teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist with equipment selection, power distribution design, and system integration activities.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during fabrication, testing, and field installation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, and customer standards.
- Interface directly with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support project deliverables.
- Support project schedules, technical documentation, and engineering change management processes.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for commissioning, startup, and field support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–8 years of experience supporting E-House, PDC, switchgear, or power distribution projects.
- Experience with electrical integration of medium-voltage and/or low-voltage power systems.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- One-line diagrams
- Three-line diagrams
- Control schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Protection and control drawings
- Understanding of switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, protective relays, and power distribution equipment.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and UL standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with companies such as Eaton, ABB, Powell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, or similar power systems manufacturers and integrators.
- Experience with modular substations, E-Houses, data center power systems, oil & gas facilities, industrial plants, or utility infrastructure.
- Exposure to protection and control systems, relay integration, and power system commissioning.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, SKM, or similar engineering software.
- Experience participating in FAT, SAT, commissioning, or startup activities.
