Innovate Consulting is seeking a Technical Sales – Outreach Professional for an energy company who will serve as a key member of a distributed program team responsible for driving program participation, increasing market awareness, and supporting energy savings targets. The ideal candidate will support the south bay area of CA! . The primarily focus on engagement with distributors, manufacturers, and trade allies to promote program offerings and technologies.
Scope of Services
The Technical Sales – Outreach Professional will perform the following services:
▪ Program Performance & Sales Support
o Meet or exceed assigned energy savings goals
o Support program participation growth through targeted outreach
▪ Distributor & Trade Ally Engagement
o Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned distributors of water heating equipment
o Provide program guidance, resources, and ongoing support
▪ Outreach Campaigns & Promotions
o Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach campaigns and promotional activities
o Support marketing initiatives and targeted engagement strategies
▪ Manufacturer & Market Engagement
o Influence manufacturer representatives to increase awareness and adoption of program offerings
o Maintain relationships to support long-term program success
▪ Lead Generation & CRM Management
o Identify, obtain, and track leads using CRM software (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce)
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach and engagement activities
▪ Stakeholder Engagement & Events
o Schedule and lead stakeholder meetings, trainings, and public relations events
o Provide logistical support for larger outreach and marketing events
▪ Technical Knowledge & Market Awareness
o Maintain working knowledge of current and emerging high-efficiency water heating technologies
o Support education efforts for distributors and trade allies

Minimum Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
▪ Minimum of 3 years of experience in distributor or manufacturer service or sales
▪ Experience coordinating or executing outreach campaigns or promotions
▪ Familiarity with plumbing and/or HVAC distributor networks
▪ Experience using CRM software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce)
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including use of pivot tables and basic data
functions
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
▪ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
▪ Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with distributors and trade allies
▪ Ability to support marketing events, trainings, and stakeholder engagements
▪ Strong collaboration skills and ability to support team objectives
▪ U.S Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
▪ Experience in energy efficiency programs, technical sales, B2B sales, or construction-related industries
▪ Knowledge of water heating technologies and emerging market trends
Location Requirements
The ideal candidate will be based in or near the San Francisco Bay Area, reporting to the Oakland office or operating
from a home office within the region.
