Cloud Security Engineer (Terraform) – Remote

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with strong Terraform and AWS experience to design, build, and automate secure cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on infrastructure-as-code, security automation, and cloud security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud environments using Terraform (primary focus)
• Build reusable Terraform modules and integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines
• Develop cloud security guardrails, policies, and automated controls in AWS or GCP
• Contribute code via Git/GitHub (PRs, workflows, documentation)
• Build security automation using Python and APIs
• Partner with security and engineering teams to enable cloud security best practices

Required Experience

Must have 3+ years in cloud security engineering with the following:

Core Must-Haves

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
• AWS or GCP cloud security engineering
• Coding experience (preferably Python) and GitHub-based workflows
• Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, routing, subnetting)

Nice to Have

• Experience with SIEM/detection engineering (Panther, Splunk, Elastic, Sumo)
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Security automation background
• PKI and certificate management experience (EJBCA, Keyfactor)
