Professional Services Consultant (Network Operations / Cybersecurity)

The Professional Services Consultant is an integral part of our mission within the Professional Services team. In this role, you will provide onsite and remote deployment and configuration expertise across next-generation network security solutions. You will function as a Subject Matter Expert, partnering directly with customer teams to provide leadership, technical direction, and best-practice guidance throughout deployments.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you’ll work directly with firewalls, SASE platforms, and network operations technologies. You thrive on solving complex cybersecurity challenges — from implementations to integrations — and can train and mentor customer teams to maximize their investment. While experience with a specific vendor’s platform is valuable, strong fundamentals in networking and security are essential. Many engagements involve migrations from legacy or competitor technologies, giving you an opportunity to leverage your broad expertise.

Your Impact

• Migrate customers from legacy firewall/security technologies to next-gen platforms
• Build and optimize custom security policies and application signatures for client needs
• Provide on-call support for maintenance and upgrade activities as needed
• Analyze logs/events for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and root cause identification
• Mentor customer staff on upgrades, configuration, and operational best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams (TAC, Engineering, Product) to resolve complex cases
• Deliver projects on-time, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with scope

Must Have

• Must be willing to work onsite in Brooklyn, NY at least 3 days per week**
• Strong Palo Alto firewall and security expertise (NGFW, Prisma Access, SASE solutions)
• 4+ years in professional services, consulting, or equivalent technical role (BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field preferred)
• Deep technical knowledge in installation, configuration, and operations of high-end firewalls
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Experience with VPN solutions (Remote Access, IPSEC, SSL), authentication protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, SAML)
• Proficiency in URL filtering, SSL decryption, and proxy technologies
• Vendor cross-experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper, Zscaler, Blue Coat, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (tcpdump, Wireshark, log/event analysis)
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive-level discussions
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Certifications such as PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE strongly preferred

• SD-WAN and remote access deployment experience
• Network security background (IPS/IDS, ZBFW, NGFW)
• Experience with legacy WAN technologies (MPLS, Leased Line, Frame Relay, DMVPN)
