Production Control Supervisor – Electrical Manufacturing

Position Summary

Innovate consulting is seeking an experienced Production Control Supervisor to lead production planning and scheduling activities within an electrical manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee production schedules, coordinate manufacturing resources, and drive process improvements to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role is onsite in Spring, TX, 5 days a week.



The ideal candidate has experience supporting the production of electrical equipment such as switchgear, control panels, power distribution equipment, or other engineered electrical products and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support on-time customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and manufacturing resources to meet production requirements.
  • Release, monitor, and track work orders while maintaining accurate ERP/MRP system data.
  • Plan production capacity and balance workloads to maximize efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support project execution.
  • Improve manufacturing processes, production routings, work instructions, and labor standards.
  • Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve throughput and workflow.
  • Support new product introductions and ensure designs are ready for manufacturing.
  • Track and report key production metrics including:
  • Schedule adherence
  • Labor efficiency
  • Throughput
  • On-time delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in production control, production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
  • Strong production scheduling and capacity planning experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.

Preferred

  • Experience in electrical manufacturing, including products such as:
  • Switchgear
  • Control panels
  • Power distribution equipment
  • Motor control centers (MCCs)
  • Electrical assemblies
  • Experience with manufacturing KPIs and production reporting.
  • Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Additional technical education or manufacturing certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor responsibilities.
  • Regular interaction with production personnel and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE while in manufacturing areas.
