A senior Azure/.NET engineer with deep homeowners insurance rating/quoting experience who can help build or modernize a rating engine — plus optionally a functional P&C product SME

Required Technical Skills

• Azure + .NET (must have a .NET flavor)
• Ability to build (not just architect) — hands-on senior engineer
• Experience breaking down a monolithic application into modular services
• Strong experience in P&C insurance, specifically:
• Homeowners insurance (absolute key)
• Rating & quoting
• Product definition logic
• Understanding of full policy lifecycle (underwriting → rating → claims → renewals)

Required Domain Skills

• Deep understanding of how insurance rating actually works
• (he specifically emphasized: insurance is sold first, priced later → he wants someone who knows the logic behind rating, loss costs, claims impact, etc.)
• Ability to work with product and actuarial logic
• Can support transformation: moving from Excel-based rating to a modern engine
