Job Summary

The Resident Engineer at who serves as a dedicated on-site or embedded technical expert responsible for supporting customers in the deployment, optimization, and ongoing operation of the cloud security solutions. This role acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring successful integration, performance, and adoption of security technologies within customer environments.

The client focuses on protecting sensitive data across cloud, web, and hybrid environments through secure connectivity and Zero Trust solutions , making this role critical to customer success and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for customers using security platforms
• Deploy, configure, and maintain solutions within customer environments
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
• Monitor system performance and recommend optimizations for security, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with customer IT, security, and network teams to ensure seamless integration
• Translate business and security requirements into technical solutions
• Support incident response and ensure minimal disruption to customer operations
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices
• Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customer teams
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with internal engineering, product, and support teams

Required Qualifications

• Top Skill needed: SWG - SWG and SSE 
• MUST have experience with deployment, optimization, modernization in SWG 
• MUST come from the financial services industry
• Experience with SWG, and advanced capabilities around SSE - the SWG and SSE is super important, knowledge of CASB is important too but of lesser importance, the really hard part is the network security piece
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3–7+ years of experience in network security, cloud security, or systems engineering
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, firewalls)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS environments
• Familiarity with security technologies such as SWG, CASB, DLP, or Zero Trust architectures
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Secure Web Gateway (SWG) or similar proxy technologies
• Knowledge of identity providers (e.g., SSO, SAML, OAuth)
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CCNA/CCNP)
• Prior experience in a resident engineer, professional services, or customer success role
